OUR TYPES OF COUNSELLING
We always place the focus on you. You decide how, when and by whom you would like to receive counselling. We provide local advice, which therefore means you can book an appointment and then come to the consulting centre in person. You can also get advice on the telephone or send us an email. Not least because of the Corona pandemic, we also offer a video counselling, where documents can be shared online. Of course, a combination of counselling types is also possible if the counselling goes beyond a one-time request and becomes extensive.
OUTHER TYPES OF COUNSELLING
There is a special counselling service for young people under 27 - the Youth Migration Service (JMD). There you can get support if you have questions about school, training and starting a career. For digital exchange with other people seeking advice, you can contact the multilingual community "Together in Germany (TiG)". There is also a multilingual app called "MBeon" that allows you to ask your questions in a personal chat with an advisor.
All counselling options are free of charge for you.
HOW DOES OUR COUNSELLING WORK?
You do not need to register for a consultation. However, you must enter your email address and cell phone number when booking an appointment. After the successful booking, we will send you the appointment confirmation and/or the link to the appointment by email. If you don't have an e-mail address yet, we will be pleased to show you how and where you can create one for free.
CREATE AN E-MAIL ADDRESS
A privacy-protected email provider is essential for secure email consulting. Gmail or Outlook do not offer sufficient protection. Therefore, we recommend opening an account with ProtonMail.com and communicating with us via this platform.
ProtonMail is open source based in Switzerland. It offers end-to-end asymmetric and zero-access encryption. With 500 MB of storage and a maximum of 150 messages per day, the account is completely free. Both the platform and the support are available in several languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Czech, Macedonian, Chinese and Russian.

BOOK A COUNSELLING APPOINTMENT
Enter your city or postal code (PLZ) in the search field. Then click on "Location". Now you can select a counselor and book an appointment on his or her profile page.
Enter your residence or postal code and search for a consultation centre
Please enter your place of residence or the postal code (PLZ) of your place of residence in the search mask below "Enter PLZ or City". Then click on the "Find Consulting Centre” red button. You will then be shown all our consulting centres where you can book a consulting appointment online.
Click on the location icon and select a consultant
Click on the red icon which is closest to your place of residence. Contact details for the respective consultant will appear. You can utilise the small red arrow in the upper left-hand corner of this small box to call up additional consultants. Once you have selected a consultant, then please go to "Book Appointment". This will take you to the profile page of the selected consultant.
Select the type of consultation and book your appointment
Please go to "Make an appointment” in order to book an appointment. Select a day. Click on a time that suits you on the right-hand side and then go to "Next". You can also write a short message to the consultant here. Then click on "Next" again. Please enter your contact details here and then agree to our privacy policy. Click on "Make an appointment” to complete the booking.

On the "FAQ" page you will find brief answers to the most frequently asked questions about our services and online counseling. Of course, you can also ask your counselor for assistance if you do not succeed in booking right away.
